Ding, Ding, all change

Recieved new flight schedule on Thursday, now off from the airport I was orginally going from and on the day I was meant to be going from. Cant complain, as it gives me another day with the family.

Last night went out on my leaving do from my country job and had a great time. Spent the day with my daughters and had a fun time. Checked and rechecked the required paperwork, and also packed, repacked, packed, repacked and finally packed so as to get my bag into the weight required.

So, my final day in the UK eh? Guess I'll spend it with my family and friends before leaving early tomorrow morning.

Well,

Its all here, last minute paperwork completed and filed in and emailed back. Yesterday evening, my flight plans came. I am going from a different airport to the one I thought and on a different day. Srill, I suppose it's an extra day to get over the jetlag eh?

Roll on Saturday and let the adventure begin.

Well,

That's one door shut, as in leaving my current employer, and another one opening next Sunday when the adventure becomes real.
To be fair, leaving the current job was marred by a row with my supervisor, especially after a pep-talk from him yesterday. I thought I was a social hand grenade when it came to putting both feet in my mouth and getting the wrong end of the stick, but no. There is someone worse than me.

I had spent sometime this morning itemising the rest of my kit in the van, my laptop, phone, ect and packed it all into my laptops box, which I handed to my supervisor along with the list. After his speech on trust and it's nice to trust people, he then blew it all out of the water by going through said box and checking everything.

Strangely enough, this was the straw that broke the camels back, even worse, he seemed to thing he had done nothing wrong, he even couldn't see it when I recited some of his pep talk to him.

Still, it's all over now, so here is to the future. long may it remain bright.

Police report here and sent via email to where it needs to be. Great, brilliant, super, smashing, nice.

I am now happy and awaiting response from abroad.

The waiting is the hardest part.

So, still waiting for the police report to hit the mat. Getting worried about been put back yet again, especially as I recieved my official thank you and good bye letter from my current employers a few days ago.

I think I may need to have a cat with my project manager when I see him on Yuesday to see what the score is with staying there if needs be, as I'd rather be busy working and waiting for it to turn up than being at home going up the wall waiting for it to turn up.

Here's hoping there is some good news in the mail this week.

Back from my weekend

So it's straight back to work and into the joys of micro management.
How I do so like it. I have found it's best to go with the flow, rather than fight against it, certainly it is a lot less stressful to do so.

My other adventure is now in limbo whilst I wait for my police file to come to me. Everything else is filled in ready to go, but until the file is here, my current situation is fluid. Shame really as I can't wait for the waiting to be done and to be getting on with it.

Right, got to go and look at some site maps for work, so TTFN.
